Care Connection provides short-term, compassionate respite support for Lorain County families caring for children and youth with behavioral health, developmental, mental health, or other complex needs.
Our goal is to help reduce caregiver stress, prevent family crises, and support children in remaining safely connected to their families and communities.
Care Connection Respite is a countywide program that connects trained respite providers with families who need short-term, planned or crisis respite. Respite gives caregivers an opportunity to recharge, manage other responsibilities, attend appointments, or simply have a break while knowing their child is receiving safe and supportive care.
Provides parents and caregivers with time to rest, recharge, attend appointments, or manage other family responsibilities.
Children receive individualized, compassionate care based on their needs, abilities, routines, and strengths.
Respite can reduce caregiver stress, prevent escalation, and help children remain safely within their families and communities.
